What started as the world’s first crowdfunded festival seven years ago, turned into a 4-day flagship festival in Berlin and a series of event chapters around the world. We’ve just delivered our 7th festival edition in June 2018 for 21,000 attendees with 100+ Satellite events from across Berlin city, and our Conference covering 6 stages, 24 themes, 10 formats, 100+ Exhibitors at the Haus of Tech, and the long-awaited TOA Night with art and music at its core.

As our Director of Marketing, you will be responsible for leading the strategy and implementation of TOA’s growth and internationalization via the crucial elements - revenue growth, data & business intelligence, digital marketing & content, community & support as well as brand identity and products.

Lead strategic and operational execution of all marketing activities (data, digital marketing & content, community, brand identity, paid organic search marketing) to support overall TOA’s growth and brand positioning.
Recruit and manage TOA’s marketing team making sure they are devoted, mentored, supported and challenged.
Create and lead the processes and workflows to spot on opportunities in the market and improve and grow TOA’s brand identity.
Own TOA’s marketing budget planning, forecasting and execution.
Support other key roles in sales, content, production teams with various levels of experience in best practices in terms of team, strategy, brand identity and product development.
Who You Are
You have a minimum of 10 years experience in marketing and branding strategy, planning and execution roles leading marketing team(s); managing remote team(s) would be a plus.
You have experience in entering new markets, positioning a brand and products / services based on channels like digital marketing & content, paid organic search marketing, community building.
You have experience in managing the creative tension across key roles in leadership to reach the overall strategy and purpose of the company.
You have knowledge, experience and interest in tech and startup ecosystem to quickly react to the latest market, geography and trend shifts.
You have complete command of German and English language.
You are willing to work on contract basis.
